In the year 2001, Ain Institute began its humble journey, teaching Islamic values amongst a few friends and family.
Since then, Ain Institute has grown into a fully-fledged institution with a formally organized educational system which has rapidly gained popularity and acclamation amongst the Muslim community.
Ain Institute is a unique multilingual model for learning and understanding the basic fundamental Islamic values for women and children of all ages who came from diverse cultural and family backgrounds.
To build conscientious and constructive Islamic theologians for the development of humanity while guiding them through correct Islamic principles to be responsible citizens of our motherland- Sri Lanka.
We believe in letting our students “Becoming Scholars” not “Making Scholars”. The students are therefore guided to having an open mindset about all religious matters. A major concern in today’s society is the lack of Islamic scholars who are competent to cater to the needs and the requirements of the growing society. The Institute’s aim is to fill this huge need, by creating skilled scholars who are able to fill this void. In short, our students acquire religious studies, whilst not forgetting their secular education which would help the society for the greater good.
A letter of declaration is taken from every child, parent, teachers and the management staff stating that they shall not support or engage in any activity that would be a threat to the national security.
And also we ensure to produce a team of students and scholars who uphold the religious value and the values of our motherland- Sri Lanka.
From its humble beginnings in 2001, Ain Institute has grown into a fully-fledged institution with the efforts and perseverance of our team of over 70 supportive staff, which includes Muallimath, Asaathiza and Huffaz who have graduated from Darul Uloom Islamiyyah (Newcastle), Darul Uloom Deoband, Madrasah Mueinul Islam (Johannesburg) and indeed many from our very own institute.
While many in our faculty are dedicated to the Islamic Sciences, Ain is diverse with many faculty members having integrated their Islamic efforts with qualifications in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Interior Designing, Speech and Drama.
Ain Institute (Ladies Section) has in this short period of time been able to produce over 200 Aalimahs & 30 Haafizahs, both from its full time and part time programmes.
